LOOP was conceived and developed by a small group of professionals with deep skills in technology, corporate finance, consulting and running large corporations in varied industries including owning and operating successful salon/spa and fitness businesses.
Our software solution was developed inside of a then start up – Asanda Spa Lounge – that was founded in 2012 as a “cold start”. That is, no predecessor business, no service providers coming in with existing books of business, no backing from established manufacturers, and all starting in a 3rd Floor location on Broadway in Manhattan with no street presence.
The premise and strategy of Asanda was fairly simple: provide a “touch of luxury” to a very demanding market and build a strong operational foundation by carefully listening to customers and letting customer feedback impact the Salon and the Team. The founders of Asanda knew then that they needed a tool that measured the subjective aspects of their business. Their thesis was that financial metrics alone are not a measurement of the depth and effectiveness of their relationships with their Customers and their Team.
From nothing in 2012 to today, Asanda now has 2 locations in Manhattan that operate on an annual run rate in excess of $5 million and through Asanda Air LLC is currently operating spa operations inside of Delta Airlines Sky Clubs in Seattle and JFK and will be opening shortly in Miami and Atlanta.
In 2015, INC Magazine named Asanda the 96th fastest growing company in America and in 2016 as the 367th fastest growing company. Never before in INC’s history has a Salon/Spa been in their top 500.
And through that growth and directly by using LOOP, Asanda became the most YELP-reviewed Salon/Spa in the US, with an average of over 1,200 reviews per location.
